Don't you miss Liz George?

Don't get me wrong. I like Andrea Sanke. Becky Anderson is decent, and Monita Rajpal is fine. Nothing against Alison Bell, or Fionnuala Sweeney, they're both okay. But, as someone who takes Hala's seat with Richard Quest on the CNN Today shift in London, don't you just miss Liz George?

Quick of wit and incredibly bubbly even at 5AM, Liz was an excellent counterbalance to Richard. (Not as good as Hala is, but for different reasons.)

Who can forget Liz at the London SE bemoaning David Beckham's transfer, somehow working into her report an analysis on the stocks that would benefit depending on who got to sign David Beckham? (by the way, I'm loving this entry, simply because I get to talk about Hala, Liz, AND David Beckham.)

Hala: We'll go back to Liz, a little later. When she's feeling better.

Or Liz with Becky Anderson at the desk, when David Beckham's transfer was confirmed? Both women were clearly in despair at the thought of losing David Beckham to a team outside of Manchester United.

Or Liz discussing how the inflation rate has affected possible expenses --- if one were to compare the previous year's prices to the then-current year's prices --- when completing the list of the 12 Days of Christmas.

Now Liz is hosting MainSail, demonstrating her know-how in the field of sailing. No longer a reporter or correspondent (I think), now Liz George is actually getting tan. Oh, well.

P.S. Now that the usual suspects at the CNN Center are back, does this mean Hala will soon be returning to London? I'm getting used to watching her during weekends, as the build up to The Daily Show: Global Edition, that I actually now have no idea how I feel about her return to London.
