the time difference makes my weekend hala-viewing near-impossible. she's on at 0100H, to 0700H. yes. and for some reason, whenever she's on, i can't help but watch.
why.
oh, don ridell is in atlanta--- oops, i mean, the CNN Center. he can annoy hala there.
Hala: with us to discuss the Ryder Cup is CNN World Sports' Don Ridell. He also hosts the aptly titled... (long pause as Hala searches for the title on Don's face)
Don: (finally helping out) Living Golf.
Hala: Living Golf! I had the golf part right.
i miss hala and richard hosting together.

Hala at 4AM HKT
so i woke up at 0410 in the morning, for no spectacular reason at all. and since i firmly believe that more things happen to the world while i am asleep, i turn on the TV and lo and behold. hala gorani telling me what's going on in the world.
but what i really want to share is hala's report what would be friday night in Atlanta. she was introducing the coming report after the break, and her description went something like this:
it's the holiday season again - time to think about what to give the special people in your life. But what about those four-legged friends in your life? Be prepared to roll your eyes.
it's good to know being at the CNN center has not affected her sense of humor in any way.
and richard quest is back at the CNN Today shift. thank goodness.
